Jeff Shillings, MAI

 
President/Owner

 

Mr. Shillings brings over 25 years of commercial appraisal experience to the company, with emphasis on regulatory compliance issues as well as complex valuation issues.  He has been a designated member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) for almost 20 years.  Direct appraisal and appraisal review experiences span nationwide and covers all property types.  A graduate of Texas A&M University, Mr. Shillings and family are long-time residents of the Houston area. 

 

Our Staff

Our firm has a staff exclusively dedicated to ordering and reviewing appraisals. Including  Jeff Shillings, we have (7) members of our staff holding the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute.  In fact, all valuation personnel each have a minimum of 20 years appraisal and/or review experience.  Review members (Job Managers) on our staff are: Gordon Bachman, MAI, Linda McDonough, MAI, Raymond Crow, MAI, Thomas Hartgroves, MAI, Daniel Knight, MAI, Duane Ehrhardt, and Bob Kinney, MAI.  Recognition goes to our evaluation team staffed by Kirk Mann and Jason Simmons, and professional assistants Conni Fedigan and Carolyn Shepler. The qualifications and professionalism of our staff are second to none.

Pete Haginas Jr., MAI began his real estate career in Houston, Texas in 1986.  He founded his own firm Haginas & Company  in 1991.    The company developed a strong presence as a full service Real Estate  Appraisal firm offering residential and commercial services.   Mr. Haginas launched Appraisal Management Services (AMS) now called Haginas & Shillings which grew into an industry leading force providing appraisal compliance, ordering and review services to federally regulated financial institutions.

 

Pete James Haginas, Jr. passed away at the age of 50 years on December 11, 2008 from complications of Myasthenia Gravis.
